Great carving in this floral motif clip. The back reveals that it was once olive in color, and time has turned it to a nice warm brown. The clip has a patent number, long, and difficult to read. 2 1/4" long, 1 1/2" wide.

Cute little dog. This Bakelite brooch is carved (the white lines are light reflection and do not exist on the piece), painted, and with a painted glass eye. He is 1 3/4" from nose to tail and 1 3/8" ear to paw.

Beyond saying Bakelite and unusual, how do I describe this bracelet. The thin bottom layer appears to have been painted in a "leopard" pattern while the top layer is red-like brown in a beautifully carved floral pattern. It is intricate and delicate looking. Bottom layer has some slight hint of red in some places.5/8" wide, 2 1/2" inside diameter.

The brown Bakelite bracelet on the left has a nicely carved daisy pattern. 7/8" wide, 2 1/2" inside diameter. The brown marbled butterscotch ("Mississippi Mud") on the right is chunky and has a lighter colored inside demonstrating age. 3/4" wide, 3/8" wall, 2 1/2" inside diameter.

This sassy scottie silhouette is typical of the early Bakelite days. Scotties were a popular breed then, partly because of Franklin Roosevelt's little scottie Fala. This little butterscotch guy measures 2 3/8" nose to tail and 2 1/8" ear to paw.3/16" thick.

Sterling vermeil pendant-tassel necklace and clip earrings, Nettie Rosenstein from the 1930's or early 40's. Pendant has oriental feeling in a bird cage effect complete with ruby rhinestone flowers and turquoise colored beads. Simulated seed pearls form the border. The twisted rope chain is thick and works well with the pendant. Oval earrings match the pendant design. Chain is 15" long, 1/4" thick. Pendant is 2" long, 1" wide, 1/2" deep. Tassel is 1 1/2" long. There are six different sizes and six different shapes of crystal-clear shimmering rhinestones in this Eisenberg five level brooch. A complex and beautiful design. The rhinestones are prong-set, and the back is rhodium plated. It is stamped Eisenberg in block letters and there are two sets of numbers which are not legible. The brooch is 3" by 1 7/8", and is 1/2" thick.
