A show-stopper purse to be sure. Maya uses amethysts and vivid rhinestones to accent the carved portions of this resin purse. Note the beautiful 44" chain. Purse is 8" wide, 4" high, and 2" deep.

A lusterous acrylic surface on this sophisticated resin purse by Maya.The design, resembling snake skin, is actually leaf bark from the Philippines. Ornate chain has faceted semi-precious stones and crystals and can be detached and worn as a necklace. Inside of purse is done in a matte black to contrast with the sleek outside surface. Purse is 8" wide, 5" high, 2 3/4" deep. Chin is 44" end to end.

A charming purse design by Maya. Made of tree resin, it looks as if it is a combination of lizard and snake skin. The color combination is interesting and the resin is accented by copper metal. Note the sassy tassel and the elegant beads on the 44" chain that attaches to the purse. Purse is 6" high, 6 1/4" wide, 2" deep. Tassel is 5 1/2" long.

This is a Dorothy Bauer LIMITED EDITION, number 28/120 and has 28 marked in ink on the base of the tree. It is a superb design with the large navette rhinestones surrounded by small clear rhinestones. All stones are Austrian, prong set, and glisten magnificently. The tree has 23 carat gold plating with a round base so that it may stand alone as a perky decoration when not being worn. The Bauer oval cartouche is on the back...

The carving in this rich brown resin purse by Maya is accented by warm rust colors with hint of gold, punctuated by tiny sparkling clear rhinestones. Note the sassy silk tassel and the 44" gold plated chain with its faceted beads and crystals. Purse is 6" by 3 1/2" and is 2 1/4" deep.

This beautiful necklace by Maya has it all: gilt finish, chunky amethyst beads, rhinestones, piwa pearls, crystals, butterflies, leaves, flowers and more! Elegant in its creation, it is 17 1/2" end to end, its round links are about 2" in diameter, center dangle 2 3/8". Maya's signature is on the clasp. The earrings that follow in the next picture were made by Maya to match this necklace.

Bright and sassy is the look of this resin purse by Maya. The alligator design and the white leather trim combine to make a charming appearance. The purse and the 44" chain are trimmed with crystals and real turquoise nuggets. The purse is 4" across the top, 7" across the bottom and 5" high.

Frosty light blue is Maya's choice for this purse. The front displays elegant carved swans with a slight hint of gilt on some of their feathers. The back features carved aquatic plants. Maya presents, in sculpted resin, a winged female figure. Her gown displays a lovely floral pattern and her outstretched arms give the feeling of movement. Fresh water pearls, rose quartz chips and crystal nuggets complete the picture. Maya's cartouche is on the back. A cloth storage bag with Maya's signature is included. Measurements are 6 1/2" by 7 1/2" and 2" from front to back. Chain is 46" end to end.

Karen Smith, a contemporary American artisan, refers to herself as a "knotter of miniature tapestry adornments." She designs knotting patterns in washable nylon thread and integrates them with gemstones. This particular necklace is composed of a serpentine dragon carving with amethyst, turquoise, black onyx, jade and goldstone beads. It is hand signed Karen Smith '06 on the back. It is a remarkable and outstanding artwork! I measures 28" end to end (measured using the inside string of beads).

Maya frequently uses semi-precious stones in her jewelry and purses. In this bold necklace she uses a combination of large amethyst chunks and similar chunks of polished smoky topaz with antiqued metal beads. A striking contemporary necklace by Maya! Dorothy Bauer's snow covered Cristmas tree pin has glistening tiny clear rhinestones at the ends of each branch, and, of course, a shimmering rhinestone star on the top. The base is round which enables it to stand up for display when not being worn. Signed Bauer on the back. 2 1/2" by 1 1/4.
