The carving in this rich brown resin purse by Maya is accented by warm rust colors with hint of gold, punctuated by tiny sparkling clear rhinestones. Note the sassy silk tassel and the 44" gold plated chain with its faceted beads and crystals. Purse is 6" by 3 1/2" and is 2 1/4" deep.

A charming purse design by Maya. Made of tree resin, it looks as if it is a combination of lizard and snake skin. The color combination is interesting and the resin is accented by copper metal. Note the sassy tassel and the elegant beads on the 44" chain that attaches to the purse. Purse is 6" high, 6 1/4" wide, 2" deep. Tassel is 5 1/2" long.

This is a Dorothy Bauer LIMITED EDITION, number 28/120 and has 28 marked in ink on the base of the tree. It is a superb design with the large navette rhinestones surrounded by small clear rhinestones. All stones are Austrian, prong set, and glisten magnificently. The tree has 23 carat gold plating with a round base so that it may stand alone as a perky decoration when not being worn. The Bauer oval cartouche is on the back...

A lusterous acrylic surface on this sophisticated resin purse by Maya.The design, resembling snake skin, is actually leaf bark from the Philippines. Ornate chain has faceted semi-precious stones and crystals and can be detached and worn as a necklace. Inside of purse is done in a matte black to contrast with the sleek outside surface. Its resin base is enhanced with shimmering gold highlights and carved smoky flowers that are encrusted with faceted black and gray iridescent beads and smoky colored rhinestones. Maya frequently uses semi-precious stones in her jewelry and purses. In this bold necklace she uses a combination of large amethyst chunks and similar chunks of polished smoky topaz with antiqued metal beads. A striking contemporary necklace by Maya! Karen Smith, a contemporary American artisan, refers to herself as a "knotter of miniature tapestry adornments." She designs knotting patterns in washable nylon thread and integrates them with gemstones. This particular necklace is composed of a serpentine dragon carving with amethyst, turquoise, black onyx, jade and goldstone beads. It is hand signed Karen Smith '06 on the back. It is a remarkable and outstanding artwork! I measures 28" end to end (measured using the inside string of beads).
