Maya frequently presents an oriental theme in her purses.This one is even more special than most. Under the resin surface is (quoted from Maya) "Special 'Geisha' painting by renowned painter: Art Zamora for Maya as signed." The front, and especially the back, of the purse are heavily carved/molded. The 46" chain features faceted citrine and crystal beads. Purse is 8 1/2" wide 5" high, 2" deep.

Maya frequently uses semi-precious stones in her jewelry and purses. In this bold necklace she uses a combination of large amethyst chunks and similar chunks of polished smoky topaz with antiqued metal beads. A striking contemporary necklace by Maya! Necklace is 39" end to end. Pendant is 3 5/8" long.

Karen Smith, a contemporary American artisan, refers to herself as a "knotter of miniature tapestry adornments." She designs knotting patterns in washable nylon thread and integrates them with gemstones. This particular necklace is composed of a serpentine dragon carving with amethyst, turquoise, black onyx, jade and goldstone beads. It is hand signed Karen Smith '06 on the back. It is a remarkable and outstanding artwork! I measures 28" end to end (measured using the inside string of beads).

Elegant Sorrell bow. Slightly convex with multi-color and shape green rhinestones of the finest quality. Stones are prong set. Brooch is multi-layered,chunky and large. Sorrell nameplate is on the back. 5 1/2" long, 2 1/4" high.

This contemporary brooch by French designer Pavone is made of galalith (a plastic derived from skim milk!). The little cat just oozes sassy personality and begs to be taken home by a cat lover. He is three levels thick--head and paws front level, body second level, and tail the third level. Great design. 3 1/2" tall, 1 3/4" wide. Pavone signature on the back of the brooch.

Pure elegance by Maya! Black carved resin with hint of gold frost touching the most prominent points of the carving. Along with the swans there are reeds and other plants making up the carved places on both front and back. The purse and the 44" chain are encrusted with crystals, beads and piwa pearls. The purse is 5 1/2" wide, 4 1/2" high and 2" front to back.

Made from vintage European glass and brass this Patrice cuff bracelet is of heirloom quality. The dragonfly takes center stage, and note the two frogs keeping him company. The bracelet is 1 1/2" wide,6 1/8" inner circumference with a 1 1/8" opening on the bottom.

This elegant Vrba set has large and small clear and ruby red rhinestones and brilliant ruby red cabochons put together to form a lacy effect. The necklace is 15 1/2" end to end and has a 3" extender. It is 3" long at the center front. Dangle clip earrings are 1 1/2" long from the top of the clip. All pieces have the Lawrence Vrba name plate.

Elegant single strand necklace by Maya. Contemporary American designer Maya uses semi precious stones, pearls, crystals and antiqued metal when creating her jewelry. In this lovely necklace she has combined Canada jade, fresh water stick pearls, citrine nuggets and bronze colored metal. Result? Fabulous! Total length end to end is 35". Jade rectangles are 1 1/2" by 1" and are 1/8" thick. Oval metal tag with Maya signature attached.

Maya's chunky small-scale drop earrings composed of carnelian, faceted beads and rhinestones. Clip is 1 1/4" long, 1" wide, dangle is 1 1/2" wide.

This resin purse by Maya combines a snake skin pattern with very ornate gilt flowers and butterfly, along with rhinestones, crystals and tiger eye. Gold plated chain (46") can be detached and used as a necklace or belt. The bag can also be carried as a clutch. Purse is 6 1/2" wide, 3 3/4" high and 2 1/4" deep.

Enormous, absolutely enormous! This stunning brooch designed by Vrba is composed of abalone petals and molded green glass leaves. The center of the flower has prong set clear rhinestones in various shapes. As the pictures indicate the brooch is very chunky. Vrba nameplate on the back. 5 1/2" by 5".

This Maya purse is created in resin made to resemble snakeskin. Maya uses accents of carnelian nuggets and citrine chips. The clasp on this purse is particularly charming. 7" wide, 4" high and 2 1/2" deep. The ornate chain is 45".

Maya has created a small art work here: sassy and charming, good for dressy day or for evening this little purse will fill the bill. Molded and carved from tree resin brought from the Philippines. Accented with gold metal trim and small rhinestones. The gold metal chain sports semi-precious stones and crystals. Purse is 5 1/2" wide, 3 1/2" high and 2 1/2" deep. Chain is 42" end to end. Maya began creating purses in 1985. Beautiful from the start, her purses have become more intricate and glamorous with each passing year. This purse is from her latest collection and shows butterfly, flower and dragonfly designs imbedded in the resin body of the purse. The surface displays hand carved flowers and a lovely dragonfly. 6" wide, 5 1/4" high and 2 1/2" front to back. The chain is antiqued metal with semi-precious stones and it 45 1/2" long.

This dramatic collar necklace by Sorrell features large champagne colored rhinestones with smaller clear rhinestones. All are prong set. The collar has an oval plaque marked Sorrell Originals. Collar inside length is 17" with a 2" extension. Width is 2". The dangle clip earrings, unmarked, have one round champagne rhinestone and clear rhinestones, all prong set. They are 3 1/4" long.

Maya presents a lovely amber colored resin bag (also available in black). Deeply carved design with an oriental feeling. Maya uses semi-precious stones and crystals to adorn this artwork. Purse is 5" wide and 5 1/4" tall and 2" front to back. Chain is 44" end to end and can be worn separately as a belt or necklace, enabling the purse to become a clutch.

This gorgeous resin handbag by Maya is sculptured wearable art.
